Washington, DC — Opening the door for dynamic and authentic collaboration, Caring Across Generations will convene a delegation of national long-term care policy experts, state elected officials and grassroots advocacy leaders from across the country in Washington D.C. next week to highlight the innovative policy and advocacy work happening nationwide to transform our approach to caregiving.

“We’re so excited about this powerful group coming together for the first time to talk about the most innovative policy solutions to caregiving, an issue that could quickly become a crisis without prompt intervention,” said Sarita Gupta, co-director of Caring Across Generations. “These individuals represent the leadership and energy we need in the care movement – the policy makers, advocates, and grassroots leaders who will craft a new approach to care that will ensure that all Americans can live and age with dignity in their homes and communities.”

Organizing for Care 2016 will take place Wednesday, June 15 in Washington D.C. Among the noted speakers are Senator Tom Daschle; Jo Ann Jenkins, CEO of AARP; and Caring Across Generations co-directors Sarita Gupta and Ai-jen Poo.

Coinciding with Caring Across’s event, Ms. Gupta will also lead the “Organizing for Care” panel discussion as part of the Department of Labor’s Worker Voice Summit: The Power of Women’s Voices on Wednesday, June 15. Additionally, Caring Across Generations co-directors Sarita Gupta and Ai-jen Poo will both speak at the White House’s United State of Women Summit the previous day.
