Rhonda Coleman, Senior Director of Human Resources, comes to Caring Across with over 40 years of care experience and 11 years as Human Resources Director with The Democracy Collaborative Foundation and looks forward to bringing her care-centered approach to HR. She knows well the art of juggling full-time employment with single-parenting and caring for elderly grandparents and parents; and is often sought to care for the elderly in her community, Oberlin, OH. Rhonda sees caregiving and service as both a blessing and an obligation. Whether lending a listening ear, sitting with sick and shut in or just leading others to health resources, it is a calling that brings her joy. She is a very active member of her church, participating in several ministries from singing in the choir, to leading Children’s Church and Youth service activities. She previously directed a community preventive health program, Save our Families, and is currently pursuing a degree in Healthcare Administration. Rhonda is married to artist Johnny Coleman, and has four wonderful and empathic children (consciously raised to care for others), two step-children, and six grandchildren who inspire her to remain active and healthy. When not with family or in ministry, she enjoys learning, traveling, taking nice long walks, gardening, home improvement projects, sewing, paper crafting, and sending greeting cards.
