We are proud to announce the launch of the CREATIVE CARE COUNCIL! LEARN MORE
The presidential debates are the biggest stage we have to discuss policy issues. It’s important that the candidates have to answer a question about caregiving.
Over the last week, Caring Across members have taken an active role in trying to decide what that question would be. After we asked you for your ideal question, dozens of people submitted suggestions. We narrowed down the list and put it up for a vote, and hundreds of you picked a clear winner.
With nearly 57% of the vote, the question you want to ask the presidential candidates is:
Families everywhere are facing the blessings and burdens of caregiving for loved ones who live longer, and have greater care needs and more chronic conditions than ever. How can we build a system that better distributes the physical and financial burdens of caregiving so the caregivers of today do not imperil their health and financial futures?
We just used the form on NBC News’s website to submit the question on behalf of Caring Across Generations’ membership. Together, we can show that there is a groundswell of support for caregiving.
Will you take a moment to submit the question as well?
It’s a simple process and should only take a minute. Here’s how to do it:
If all of us submit the question today, we will surely get NBC’s attention. Even if they don’t ask our question on Wednesday, they’ll know that the Caring Majority is paying attention and that we expect presidential candidates to care about caregiving.
