LOS ANGELES – For the second year in a row, The Webbys awarded Caring Across Generations for the advocacy organization’s leadership in bridging pop culture and political action. This time, Caring Across has won two Anthem Awards for the launch of the Creative Care Council, an intimate cohort of celebrities who have deep, personal connections to care, and are working to make care and caregivers more visible and valued in our culture and policies.
Yvette Nicole Brown, Bradley Cooper, Brandee Evans, Yves Mathieu East, Richard Lui, Lauren Miller Rogen and Seth Rogen, and Megan Thee Stallion are inaugural members of the Creative Care Council launched in March of 2023. Caring Across created individualized plans for each Council member based on their personal connections to care, advocacy interests and platforms to design activities ranging from meeting in-person with federal legislators to urge investments in long-term care, to sharing their caregiving journeys across social media, TV and in-person events.
“We’ve reached a cultural tipping point where care is finally becoming a top issue on social media and in spaces as diverse as Hollywood writers rooms, White House meetings and business strategy sessions,” said Sarah Vitti, senior manager of culture change at Caring Across. “We’re excited to continue to work with Creative Care Council members — existing and new — to elevate care into pop culture, increase authentic representation of care in the media and in TV and film, and to push leaders across arts and entertainment, government and business to better support caregivers.”

Last year, Caring Across received an Anthem Award for a groundbreaking multimedia campaign featuring NBC’s “This is Us” stars and leading caregiving advocates tackling dementia and caregiving stigmas. Caring Across Generations and Hilarity for Charity (HFC) partnered with the television series to produce This is Us: This is Care. A Conversation, a set of video and social content centered on personal caregiving stories and the power of pop culture to battle negative aging and illness stereotypes.
