Lyntoria Newton, (she/her), Culture Change Manager, has a background in documentary producing and impact producing. Lyntoria hails from a family full of familial caregivers and domestic workers and has witnessed firsthand the transformative nature and freedom of quality care access. Before joining Caring Across, she worked on projects that touched on issues at the intersections of race, gender, disability, and environmental justice. She was an impact producer on the feature documentary “Mossville: When Great Trees Fall,” which premiered at Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, where it won the Human Rights Award. She was also the Impact Producer for the If/Then short documentary “Status Pending.” She has taught documentary filmmaking and film impact-producing courses at the Bay Area Video Coalition, San Francisco Film School, and Northwestern University. Lyntoria holds an M.F.A. in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University and a B.A from Hampshire College.
